This Blog – A big part of this quest to give back all that I have taken will be this space. Here you will probably find some helpful code snippets and thoughts on WordPress development as a whole. I’ve already been making a living using and developing with the platform for 3+ years, absorbing every bit of information I could find in forum threads and tutorials and hiding it away in my mind trap, unleashed only on proprietary client themes and internal networks. All this for cash, which is quickly depleted as a result of my penchant for iTunes rentals, cigarettes (I know), and breweries.

Plugins – I also want to start contributing plugins to the repository. As I mentioned, most of my WordPress experience has been developing specific, one-off plugins for clients’ custom themes. I aim to revisit these tangled chunks of code and whip them into shape. Into modern, scalable, easy to use plugins that everyone can benefit from.

Core? – I’ve never contributed to core, or even spent much time on trac, but I am going to try my best to start learning what the hell it really means. We’ll see how that goes…
